hot, sticky, & rainy

On a day like this - hot, sticky, rainy - I thought some pink would cheer me up. And it did.
Also, I would have loved to call the Buatta bedroom my own when I was a little girl...or even now.

So the other day I checked out Free People's website and was pleasantly surprised to see some really cool outfits. Normally I think of Free People as a very bohemian, laid back, and flowery brand... but it seems like they are expanding their image -- their website is full of edgy, city-chic clothes and accesories. Of course, they still carry the boho look, but it's nice to see a more well-rounded and versatile collection. They also carry some really cute "under things" in their intimates section.
Above are some of my favorite pieces, although there is much more on the site.
From top left:
1. we the free batwing tee, $88
2. we the free raglan tee, $68
3. speed racer glove, $48
4. convertible over the knee boot, $188
5. studded cross stitch moccasin, $118
6. shredded converse, $128
7. plaid cascading blazer, $128
8. sequin mesh tunic, $68

This is the famous Steven Meisel photo shoot that was labeled "too racy" for Vogue Italia, and which found a home in V. What do you think - too scandelous or nothing the pages of Vogue haven't seen before?

je ne sais quoi part deux

images 2&3: Chanel; image 4: Jill Stuart; images 6&7: Elie Saab; image 8: Balmain; the rest I saved a long, long time ago without credits -- sorry!
White is another color that I can never tire of. There is something so pure, clean, and elegant about white...Enjoy.

je ne sais quoi

1st photo: design by Gerrie Bremermann; the rest I saved without credits - I do apologize!
I love unified color schemes, particularly when the color is a warm, rich gold. Do you have any favorite "all around" colors?

oh well, whatever, nevermind
