A discovery that I had to share with my readers:

I'd love to see Robertson's take on two of my favorite lines from Fitzgerald's This Side of Paradise: 

"They slipped briskly into an intimacy from which they never recovered."

Hands down, one of my favorite books. The Catcher in the Rye is packed with provoking passages, tragic thoughts, and iconic imagery. Holden Caulfield is so real, there really is no other way to put it. Some favorite words from the novel:

"People never notice anything."
"It's terrible to be just in your pajamas when something like that happens."
"If somebody knows quite a lot about things, it takes you quite a while to find out whether they're really stupid or not."
"Then she left. The navy guy and I told each other we were glad to've met each other. Which always kills me. I'm always saying, "Glad to've met you" to somebody I'm not at all glad I met. If you want to stay alive, you have to say that stuff though."
"The mark of the immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause, while the mark of the mature man is that he wants to live humbly for one."
